“Daybreak” acrylic, 12″ x 12″
As an artist based in Oyster Bay, New York, my work explores the connection between the human figure and the natural world with all its intricacies, folds, and imperfections. In my paintings, the spirit of the line emerges to mark the ever-changing flow across the surface. Abstraction becomes a language for expressing the unseen energies that move through natural systems. Each piece begins with a dialogue between my conscious intention and the organic impulses that guide my hand across the surface.

“Pulled to the Border” acrylic, 12″ x 12″
Rooted in painting and drawing, my practice blends abstraction and expression through layers of lines, colors, and shapes. These seemingly abstract compositions create intricate networks where line and negative shapes become enmeshed into one. The organic nature of my paintings continually evolves, with forms—spiraling tendrils, cellular clusters, root-like networks—emerging as visual manifestations of inner rhythms that mirror patterns I observe in nature.

“The Canopy” acrylic, 24″ x 24″
My palette is centered on blues and greens of water and growth, and punctuated by warm golds and earth tones. I build surfaces that suggest depth and movement through transparent washes and bold linear gestures. The black ink lines weave throughout, serving as containment and release, defining spaces while allowing forms to dissolve and transform. Each mark, intentional and intuitive, reflects the constant motion in nature and the fluidity of the form.

“My Calligraphy” acrylic, 12″ x 12″
The process balances control and spontaneity, capturing the essence of growth and change. Working wet-into-wet, I allow colors to bloom organically while using deliberate mark-making to introduce structure and tension. This collaboration with materials creates organic layers that reveal complexities, inviting closer exploration.

“Sea Glass” acrylic, 12″ x 12″
Nature gives us much more to see after it comes to the end of its cycle of life. Like the human form, its complexities surface to reveal entirely new, intricate views. Looking deeply within my paintings, delicate lines emerge to create networks of color and shape that transform how we interact with the art. These images unfold through careful observation and time.

“Piercing Through” acrylic, 12″ x 12″
Each painting generates movement that pushes images beyond the paper’s edge, creating immersive experiences that soften boundaries between artwork and viewer. The compositions suggest infinite possibilities, inviting viewers to complete the visual narrative through their imagination.

“Awakening” acrylic, 24″ x 24″
The paintings become a microscopic view into an imagined ecosystem where cellular division meets root growth, and underwater currents carry seeds of possibility. Through abstraction, I capture not nature’s appearance, but its essential spirit of constant transformation and interconnection.

“Rise Up” acrylic, 12″ x 12″
Ultimately, my art reflects the quiet connections between the work and the viewer. It invites viewers to slow down and attune themselves to the rhythms found in the organic interplay of line and color.
